I love Michigan. Every since I was a baby my family would go to St Joseph during the summer and stay on my uncle’s estate. It was gorgeous, we have travelled all over the world for vacation and honestly michigan was my favorite vacation. Then my boyfriend at the time went to Kettering University in Flint, and when he was down at U of I Champaign-Urbana visiting me, I was up there and even though Flint was dirty I still loved it! lol Then his friends would take me to Detroit to hang out and party, they took me to Auburn Hills for a Pistons game, and Holly for a homecooked dinner- it was serenity to me. Thats where my heart and soul is. Thats where I want to be. Thats why I want to move

I relocated to another state with my current employer under the terms that i would be there for 12 months. unfortunately, i will not be able to see the last 2 months through due to personal / family reasons. i was curious how companies have employees repay the package back. also how would one go about trying to negotiate a pro-rated amount or repayment plan?

I was scouted by a company in a neighboring state (240 miles away). I have extensive experience with their type of products and they’ve scheduled a second interview. My family cannot afford to move without some type of relocation assistance. This isn’t a huge company, but they have very high revenue for their size, meaning I don’t think it would be a hardship for them. Am I in a good position to leverage for relocation assistance?

I work at a company where the owner is asking us to reimburse relocation expenses without taxing or 1099′ing the employee. These are expenses like the deposit on someone’s apartment, the deposit on utilities, installation/startup costs of their digital cable tv, application fee for new apartment etc. These are for employees who are being relocated within the company (not new employees).

Has anyone had any experience with an international pet relocation service? We will be moving from US to Bahrain and will be moving our 3 dogs as well. I have been researching different pet relocation companies but wanted to see if I could get a different response on here. Any information would be helpful.

I want to relocate but I think the best most successful way to do so would be to go with a company that offers positions all over the country. How do I find out which companies offer relocation assistance? Thanks.

The company I work for moved me to Illinois 16 months ago. In return, I signed an agreement stating I would pay back relocation if I left within 2 years. Moreover, all monies have to be paid back within 1 month of my leave date. I made a BIG mistake and didn’t read the fine print. It turns out I have to pay back EVERYTHING if I leave before the two year period. This job has been awfull and it’s to the point that it starting to make me physically ill. I can’t afford to pay back the money because the salary is not comensurate with cost of living expenses and I have wracked up a bunch of debt just by trying to keep a roof over my head and gas in the car. I approached HR about my concerns which has only caused more friction between myself and management. I feel so trapped. Is there any way I can get out of the contract?
To clarify:
1) I was working for another company (in Iowa) prior to accepting this job. Part of the recruitering enticement to lure me away (boy…was that a mistake!) to the new company was the relocation package.
